Hello Sandy – well done you, much more technologically minded than me and clearly I will be taking lessons from you! I didn’t have a chance to drop you a note when I first got your email due to a last minute opportunity to go to Bhutan! It was confirmed on 03 May and I flew out out of CPT first thing on 04 May for 2wks. I had an amazing time and now that I have caught up on the admin I can get down to sifting through the hundreds of photos and putting something together … another slide show coming up!!! You must be off on your annual UK trip shortly – would love to touch sides before you go??? Love Pippa
Great Sandy…. .look forward to catching up!
What wonderful homes you have! Well done.
With greetings from a wintery wet Cape Town.
Jim and Jean

Heeeellllllooooo Sandy. You emailed me, what feels like ages ago with your blog details. I can’t recall what I was so busy with at the time, but I lost the details. I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, I asked Cherry for your details but never got a reply. So today I decided to google you and I found you. Technology saved the day.
I’ve been reading bits of your blog but have a lot of reading to do to get the full picture. It’s freezing
Nag in Cape Town after a very wet, stormy week. The sun is out today which makes one believe it’s hot, which of course it’s not.
I retired at the end of March 2018. I then busied myself adding a separate guest cottage to my home, hoping to supplement my retirement income. … I’m still hoping!
I started one on one Maths tuition in 2019 and now I’m tutoring online, still one on one. I’m fully booked and work from around 3 pm to 7 pm weekdays. I really enjoy the one on one connection and almost all of my students are now achieving great results. The transition to online tutoring in the midst of the copied lockdown was quite a learning curve, but now I think I’ll stay online even when this pandemic is over. I have pupils from all over South Africa and I’ve been tutoring a student in Monaco for 7 days!
I hope this finds you well. I’ll read more about your adventures and I’ll keep in touch.
