Autumn colours in the Cape Winelands

The low-light of the month was having a basal cell carcinoma cut out of my scalp making my brow feel extremely stretched but unfortunately not diminishing the wrinkles!

High-lights included a superb performance of Miller’s ‘Broken Glass’ at the Fugard with Sir Anthony Sher in the leading role. A few days up at Hannie’s house on the lagoon in Langebaan with sailing and rowing on the lovely turquoise, if extremely cold waters.

The weather report this evening suggested that it would snow overnight in the Cedarberg and Ceres Mountains. Winter is certainly coming.

    Thanks Sandy:
A delayed response to indicate our appreciation for your message. Delayed because we have only just got back from a safari in Botswana: Nxai Pan and Central Kalahari Game Reserve. A good time but a lot of driving.
Don’t let the basal cell carcinomas concern you: I have had several removed from my face. On the forehead, they try and cut in the frown [smile?] lines so they have little effect on the wrinkles!
    Please keep in touch.
    Love … Jan and John

Hi Sandy ~ this is stunning! Chris has had a few nasties removed, and has suffered no lasting negatives.

We are all fine ~ Andrew finishes his Civ. Eng. degree next year! Can’t believe it!

    Much love,

    Pam & Chris
