Kalk Bay Harbour
Peter took me out to dinner at The Harbour House, Kalk Bay, Oysters and all, not sure what I’ve done to deserve this, must be all those lifts to the airport!
Sarah, who I met on the Croatia cycle tour, came to do
the Exodus Cape Winelands tour and we had a couple of nice outings together, including to the Cape Town Waterfront, it was good to see her again. I hope that we will meet up in UK in the summer.
Peter, Lyn, Gill and I went out to a couple of wine farms and bought the car home groaning under the weight of our purchases! There were several nice dinner parties during the month and at the end of the month Peter, Gill, Bea and I went to Anysberg for a few days.
We were to have camped but the camp site was closed while the toilet block was being up-graded so we stayed in one of the cottages.Poor Peter was confined to barracks with an upset stomach but Bea, Gilland I did a couple of good hikes. The memorable sightings were a Puff Ader, which I nearly stood on , and a trio of Bat Eared Foxes, which were busy eating and allowed us to watch them for a while. I really do like Anysberg and we had a jolly time.
