1st/2nd This weekend saw the French National Dragonboat Championships held on the Saone at St Jean de Losne. In addition to the serious teams from towns like Toulouse, Rhiems, Toul and Bessanson there were fun races with smaller boats which only have a crew of ten paddlers. I was invited to coach and drum for the St Jean de Losne team. It was huge fun. From a discordant rabble of individuals in race number one we managed to cohere into a harmonious team to the extent of winning the third race and coming third overall in the open class!
