Another glorious day. Taken advantage of by the Sailing Club who were holding sand sailing events on the broad beach.

Most of the month has been taken up with DIY. Installing a frost guard radiator in the stairwell to reduce the condensation. I am pleased to say it seems to be working. Installing a fancy shower screen on the bath so that I could get rid of the nasty curtain!
Makes the room look bigger and offers an additional towel rail. The extension (left hand photo) means that I never need to get water on the floor!
Installing a mirrored cupboard to hide the electricity circuit board on the landing. Prior to that though I needed to paper the adjacent wall and put up a new light fitting. The old one had been glued to the wall and taken wall & paper away with it when it fell off! Leaving a right mess. First attempt at wall paper!
The high-light of the month so far is the BAFTA winning movie “Three Billboards outside Ebbing , Missouri” But then there is “The Pentagon Papers” to look forward to on the 25th and the sexy Daniel Day-Lewis in “Phantom Thread” on the 26th. We really are spoiled for good movies at our little art house cinema.
28th. What a way to end the month and what a change from the beginning. “The Beast from the East” as the freezing, snow laden easterly wind has been dubbed. Whilst it was very cold here with early morning frosts we had blue skies and sunny afternoons till yesterday. Snow is practically unheard of in St George. Not only did it snow hard, it settled. But by the end of tomorrow it will have all been gone because it is forecasts to reach 15 degrees. That’s more like it!
