3rd – 5th. Out at the boat again for a few days to secure the passerelle, tarp over the wheelhouse roof, additional door locks all in readiness for winter. Treated to a lovely sunrise on Sunday morning.

8th November 2018. One hundred years on from the end of the First World War. Pity we haven’t learned more from that horrific experience! Maybe the way France and Brittain and many of the other “Allies” , “celebrate” their “glorious dead” has something to do with that?

14th. Back out to the boat for a few days a few more bits and bobs to do including putting insulation into the windows but also with time to take some further afield walks and sit in the sun. Stunning weather with temps up to 19 degrees in the afternoons. The trees are turning and the river banks are looking gorgeous.
Coming back from the walk through town past houses built into the cliffs, signs of a time when the river was much bigger, now a good 500 meters away from the river bank.
