1st. Monday, I was discharged to-day and Michelle came and picked me up. First stop was the medical appliances shop to have the casts made. These are formed out of hot, flexable plastic sheeting that is moulded to the body part in question and attached with velcro straps. The plastic cools hard and is a very effective restraint. I am told I will have to wear them 24/7!
Home to Michelle’s where I spent the next couple of days being very well looked after.
3rd. Jon and Nikki arrived today for a pre-planned holiday and took Cassidy and I back home. They are staying for a week which is very useful. A bit of a bore for them but we did manage a trip to La Rochelle, somewhere they really wanted to go. We had a good day and a pleasant lunch overlooking the harbour.

The fortified entrance to the harbour is iconic and doesn’t disappoint in the reality.
On the way to La Rochelle we had stopped off at St Savinien to take some photos of the boat to put onto Appolo Duck and LeBonCoin in an effort to sell her.
The other BIG thing in my life at the moment is that I have the apartment on the market. When it sells I want to have a small, modern, well insulated little house built. I have reserved a plot on the edge of Mechers, the next village to St Georges, about ten minutes away. It overlooks open fields.

Jon and Nikki’s visit was all too short and they left for home on the 10th. They were really wonderful. Looked after Cassidy and I really well, cooked me great meals and were lovely to have around. After being so spoilt I shall really miss them.
