11th The first week of January has been the longest and harshest cold snap since I arrived in the region with temperatures rarely getting above zero. Above are some of my brussel sprouts with their ice jewels! and below is my “crystal palace”.

It has at least been dry allowing Cassidy and I to take brisk walks! It is destined to start warming up to a balmy 6 degrees later today!
18th. When I started my computer up on the 15th it was totally unresponsive. Since my work in completely computer dependent I had to go out and buy a new one then spend many hours setting it up and restoring my files and downloading the important apps that I regularly use.
I am more or less on top of it now and have been able to get on line this morning and make my appointments for my Covid vaccine, first jab 6th Feb and second 4th March, both Pfiser/BioNTech. This will allegedly protect me from getting very ill if I contract it but it is not thought to offer complete immunity or to prevent me from transmitting so although one might feel more confident to be out and about more I will still be behaving with extreme caution.
