August – 2024

9th. Walked into the village this morning for bread and banking and was once more enchanted by its unassuming loveliness. From the Friday market to the church garden.

and the fishmongers where you can sit outside munching on seafood delicacies to another glymps of a hamdsome town house.

The wheat was harvested a couple of weeks ago and now they are getting in the hay.

with the pleasing cart wheels visible through my grape vine arch in the field behind the house.

18th Nice sunny morning but not too hot so Cassidy and I did a walk into town where Pony Rides and an Art exhibition were on offer in addition to the usual holiday season street market

There was a brocant at the Portuguese owned Tapas Bar where I picked up some delightful scalf clips/pendants which I think will make stunning gifts

and from there down to the Port for coffee and people watching

16th. Took an evening walk to the Port with my neighbor, Anne, for sundowners and enjoyed a gentle, balmy moment with a very high tide (blue moon phase) and a delicately coloured sky.

29th. Martine and I took our dogs for a walk along the promenade towards the lighthouse at St Georges de Didonne on another lovely afternoon.
