October – 2025

7th. Zara’s new game is treeing squirels and once she is off finding and chasing squirels up trees there is no stopping her! I just have to wait till she has tired herself out for while she circles back ro me to make sure I am still there she stays far enough away for me not to be able to catch her and spoil the fun! All the good “recall” lessons are out of the window!

I am grateful to see that she is not alone in this obsession!

10th. Sandi’s birthday today and we celebrated with a French themed lunch of Chevre Chaud Salad and Chocolate mousse “Chez moi”. I had baked a Pain Espice from a recipe I found on line. Not bad, but more spice next time!

12th Another lovely lunch at home with Hannie and Cherie. Too busy chatting to take a photo but here are the lovely indiginous flowers from Hannie’s garden.

Also managd to finish off the vanity under the wash handbasin in the downstairs loo. Quite pleased with itm especially as it was built out of off cuts from other work in the house.

30th.
