1st October and the date when we can take our dogs to the beach in St George de Didonne. A lovely sunny Saturday and sail boats and sand sailors were out in force.
11th. Scanline were here this morning to finish off the installation of the wood burner and test its function. Looking good!
28th. The companion piece for the fire is finished and in place. I am rather pleased with the transformation. The first photo shows the original material bought at the Brocante for 10 euro!
28th. The solar people came today and finished the installation of my solar panels However as with all things French there is a whole heap of paperwork that will have to be completed before I am eventually, in about three months time, selling my excess electricity back to the grid.
30th Jonathan arrived on Frtiday evening and today, having liberated some pallets from one of few remaining houses still under construction, we built a wood store.
31st. We took a drive out to Pontalliac today and had a lunch at a beach-side restaurant.
