Took a break from helping Peter with his apartment and cycled off down the Canal du Rhône au Rhîn where there was much evidence that spring had indeed arrived.
17th. In the evening a HUGE hotel barge (See banner image above), The Excellence, pulled into St Jean, swung and reversed under the bridge with barely an inch to spare. It then moored up at the town hotel barge piers totally dwarfing everything in sight , including what are regarded as BIG barges here-abouts!!

Hi Sandy, how are you?! I’m hoping really well and imminently setting off for some cruising? Will and I were just saying earlier how much we’d love to come out and spend a few days with you if you have space/time on the barge. I know you had a friend joining you in June and were probably not going to do any scheduling until around about now as much of your route would depend on weather, so really just checking in to see what your plans are so we can see if we can make something work.
