April – 2026

Days are still starting with walks on sunrise beach. It is almost impossibl not to take too many photographs but my excue is that it is an averchanging backdrop.

Like thia early walk which offered both sunrise and moon set!

11th My friend Sandi and I went down to our little local theatre to see a play written by a local playrite and well performed by two local actors. We are very blessed to have this little gem on our doorstep. This is the second production I have seen here recently, the first being “Peace Train” a Cat Stevens tribute.

For a change of scene we took a walk along the lake share one afternoon when Canooist were out on the water.

One particularly clear skyed morning the Hotentot Hollands mpuntain range were visible is stark relief against the lightening sky.

17th The first storms of the aproaching winter season are forecast to hit over this weekend, starting today. We were lucking to get a good walk in under dramatic skies before the first fat rain drops fell.

18th

This evening a group of women from the whapsapp “hanging out with you…£ group went to the Artscape theatre to see a priduction of “Pretty Woman, The Musical”

Including Julie our star organiser and Claire with her remarable 89 year old Mum.

The show has been running for eight years and has toured extensively internationally. It is based on the movie buy with music and lyrics writen my local script writers and composers. It was WORLD class.

The finali prompted a standing ovation

27th. Today was a public holiday and I joined my old neighbors for a litter clean up on Park Island, a small nature reserve off Marina de Gama, on th Lake.

There is a bird hide , nice wakls and a small fenced off lead dog park.

Views back across the water to Marina de Gama, where I had a house when I first moved to Cape Town, show what a delightfull environment it is to live in. Unfortuneatly out of my budget now.

And looking back to Lakeside nestled below Muizenberg Mountain
